Say What?

I mentioned in a recent post how important placement is in how artwork is interpreted (i.e., context is everything). On a much more simplistic level, placement was important for this wordy mural as well. It’s essentially impossible to read all the words of the message without peeking behind the palm tree, and the tree seemed barely a foot from the wall. Cudos to the artist for how well they were able to paint in that confined space. Honestly though, I couldn’t quite figure out the message it was trying to get across even after seeing all the words. I think it had something to do with undocumented immigrants and their treatment but I’m just not sure.
