Thanks Judy. I’ve never seen a living jackalope but at a garage sale one time I did acquire one that had been stuffed and mounted. It’s hanging on the wall up at our mountain house. I’ll have to send you a photo of it. The last time I was in Douglas, Wyoming (the jackalope capital of the world) I got a hunting license for them so I could bag my own. It only allows me to hunt for them “on the 31st day of June, between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m.” though so I think it’s going to be a while before I get one.
I’ve heard tales of flying jackalopes and they even sell mounts of what they say are the real thing over at Wall Drug in South Dakota. But everyone out west knows there is no such thing as a flying jackalope–they just stick chicken wings on real jackalopes to fool unsuspecting tourists from back east.
Good luck with that hunt! 😉 I’ve never heard of a flying jackalope but surely they exist. I remember visiting Wall Drug as a kid – and was mesmerized by the Corn Palace.
😆 I have yet to see one of those. Probably hiding out with the Sasquatch. 😉 I’m enjoying your windowsill collection.
