People Are Puzzling

A bit hard to tell at the scale of this photo, but this is a jigsaw puzzle completely made up of little line drawings of people. And it’s a black and white photo of a black and white puzzle on a black tabletop.

This photo was taken ten years ago. Somehow I found myself in a folder on my computer of photographs from back then and sorting through them I came up with a few that I had ignored at the time that are of some interest so I decided to work on them for a while.

As our mountain house is nearby, we’ve seen this little railroad building many times in our comings and goings over the years and it never fails to attract my attention for some reason. Maybe it’s just the name. Anyway, after 38 years I finally took the time to stop and photograph it the other day. I’m not sure it’s particularly photogenic (at least not on that day it wasn’t) but perhaps the act in itself satisfied some need or the other I have to pay homage to the thing.
