Wild Child
Heceta Head, Oregon
2013
Some fog-shrouded trees on Heceta Head, with spiny lower branches that all succumbed; to lack of light I assume. Interesting that one unique branch tried to sprint for the upper story of the forest, with some limited success before it too died.]]>
I really like this photo! The fog gives it depth & the angle gives it height. It certainly is unusual terrain. Surely it was an enjoyable hike.
Thanks Connie, and yes it was an enjoyable hike even though it rained (or at least it was a heavy persistent drizzle) the whole time. The rain, like the fog, just added to the atmosphere of the place.
