If you watch this video, you’ll see one of my images come up (the second one in the sequence). I’m pleased to have my work included in this show but seeing my photograph with all the crow/raven images in other media makes me wish I could do something besides photography sometimes. Even with Photoshop, the creative possibilities are limited compared to painting, sculpture, etc.

The interesting facade on the Arctic Club Building in Seattle. The Arctic Club was a fraternal organization for veterans of the Klondike Gold Rush. The title is from the Beatle’s song I Am the Walrus, although I had no idea that’s how you spelled that particular line in the lyrics. (There are some alternate spellings but this one seems to be the most common.)

I walked through the Pike Street Market once and only ventured near the perimeter after that. The place was crawling with people pretty much all the time. I’m not even sure what they sell there besides the food items and tourist gewgaws but if I was anyone trying to seriously shop there I’d be really put off by all the tourists (like myself that one time I was there) gawking around all the time.

This looks a bit like shadows cast on a wood panel but in fact it is a heavy sheet of old translucent plastic behind a stall at the Pike Street with the setting sun creating the silhouettes of people passing by.
