Some ghostly looking pool players. (You may have noticed that I’m pulling some rather random images from the past. I’m trying to tie up some photographic loose ends so to speak.)]]>

A nice abstract composition that would look right at home in a contemporary art exhibit I think.]]>POTD: Variations on a Square Read More »

I was looking at this piano when I felt a subliminal suggestion to take a photo, so I did. This is one of several artist decorated pianos on the 16th Street Mall. (I’ve seen them in Salt Lake City as well.) The pianos are all functional so occasionally a pianist, budding or otherwise, can be seeing in an impromptu performance.]]>

I thought I’d throw this odd-ball (in the sense that it’s in color) image into the mix. Not so much anonymity here, either architecturally or otherwise. I don’t know who these people are, so in that sense they are anonymous but I do know or could guess some of their story; they are getting engaged or married or otherwise want to document their relationship. How do I know this? Out of the photo to the left in the middle of the street (it was Sunday morning so there was essentially no traffic) is a photographer instructing them where to stand, how to pose etc. for the photos she was taking.]]>POTD: Measures of Anonymity #20 Read More »

A suggestion of life behind the grid. I think this image is interesting in that there is really no good indication of what you are looking at or the scale of the grid, except for the car which literally puts it all in perspective.
