POTD: Bushy Eyebrow

Bushy Eyebrow
Cedar Mesa, Utah
2024

My first impression of this scene (aside from the eyebrow thing of course) is that the cactus grew out under the protection of the piece of wood. 2024

I picked it up and brought it into the house to see if I could revive it somehow. Once I got in the house I realized that was a bad place to bring it because of our cathedral ceilings–if it did revive and decide to fly off, we’d have a really hard time corralling it or steering it outside, so I carried it out to our mudroom on the other side of the house and set it down there. I was going to go find a little box and some bedding for it but before I got a few steps away it jumped up and flew around, landing where you see it in this photo. I opened the door and after a little coaxing (and after it left its calling card on the windowsill), it flew off looking no worse for the wear.

Shadows in LensWork Magazine

This just came out from Lenswork magazine today, a solo publication that includes 70+ photos from my portfolio of images featuring shadows. It looks great and I am very pleased with it, not to mention it is the 10th time since 2007 that one of my portfolios has been featured in LensWork. And, the Fashion Queen is very happy to have her shadow featured on the cover!
