POTD: The Process #7

The shapes, textures, and colors of this piece of cardboard used for spray paint overspray in my shop caught my eye the other day so I had to photograph it. They say that if you create a work of art that everybody appreciates, then you’re not really producing serious art. I’m guessing this photo easily meets the “if” qualification in that statement. Unfortunately the inverse of the statement is not true, so who knows if this is serious art or not. But also as “they” (whoever they are) say, I don’t know much about art but I know what I like.

POTD: Becalmed

I’ve driven past the wind farm at Judith Gap many times but last week was the first time I’ve ever seen them not moving at all. I couldn’t help but wish for the usual often strong wind thinking it might have blown away some of the thick smoke that can be seen obscuring the more distant structures. But perhaps it’s just as well it was still as the wind could just as likely blown even more smoke into the area.
