Over 35,000 megaliths (“a large stone used to build prehistoric structures or monuments, either alone or with other stones”) have been documented across Europe, some of which I have seen in Ireland and Scotland. Not being man made, this is not a true megalith by that definition although the word megalith is from the ancient Greek language meaning simply “great stone.” By that more literal translation it doesn’t matter if the stone has been naturally placed or not, so this qualifies I guess.
