Very dramatic pictures from Freezeout Lake. Obviously there used to be a lot of activity there. I’m intrigued by the name. Was there actually once a lake there?
Thanks Judy. There are actually 5 or 6 lakes there. None are huge, some are small enough they call them ponds instead of lakes. And because of recent drought, several are actually dry right now. Also, there is still a lot of farming activity in the area, but it was just grazing land where I was photographing. In the farmed areas birds from Freezeout Lake fly out into the harvested grain fields every day to feed on the gleanings.
