POTD: Speaking in Tongues

Speaking in Tongues
Deer Lodge, Montana
2024

A triple example of interesting cracked paint patterns, couched in a flurry of acronyms that are beyond my understanding and a series of what could be interpreted as some kind of two dimensional Morse code pattern. The impression is that a lot’s being said here, none of which I can understand.

  1. So very graphic! Even the letters are “cracked” due to the style of stencil used to paint them.
I especially like yesterday’s image because of its simplicity.
    Good seeing!

Cots is the date the air brakes were last cleaned

MILW. Is the call letters for the now defunct Milwaukee Railroad

RPKT is the last date the plain bearings were serviced (axle bearings)

    1. Thanks Elmer, I’m not at all surprised you know all that! 😀 That was on an old caboose from the electric part of the Milwaukee route that ran from Montana into Idaho.
