This is another shot of the same hunk of wood as featured in the last two POTDs. It’ more of a stretch to imagine a face in this one (although it does give off a bit of a  big-eyed alien vibe if you stare at it long enough). But it does illustrate the benefits of looking at a photographic subject from a variety of angles.

This is another photo of the same hunk of wood from yesterday, only taken from a different angle. If you didn’t see a face in yesterday’s photo, there’s definitely one in this shot. I see an old woman with long, flowing gray hair looking slightly down and to her right. Or maybe it’s an owl:

We’re back from camping for a few days without cell service, which is why the POTD email notices for the last three days came all at once Thursday afternoon. We thought we had lots of wildflowers on our property but up on the Beartooth Plateau they are so thick everywhere that you feel like a flower abuser just walking around. You can’t avoid stepping on them.

Unknown to me until I found this skull, skunks have some impressively mean looking teeth. However, their sharp teeth aren’t the thing I’d worry about most in an encounter with one!
