I’m in a group exhibit this summer with four other Montana artists who’ve traveled to China over the last five years for exhibitions and to participate in art exchange programs with Chinese artists. I was very pleased to see one of my composite photos used in the poster for the show.

Patriot’s Dream #44

This image really lives up to the title of the Patriot’s Dream series. This building is where local residents used to purchase tickets on ships to emigrate to America during the Great Famine, a.k.a. the Potato Famine. (It’s a bit hard to tell but the small mural on the building shows the American flag flying just above the bow of a large ship.

This poor guy appears to have fallen asleep in the crotch of this tree a number of years ago. The tree grew up around him enough that he’s stuck. I hope he likes the view from there as I don’t see it changing anytime soon!
