Perhaps it’s the light or the vegetation along with the cedar trees…whatever the reason, this photo sparks a visceral memory of what it is like to hike in the high country of southern UT, very similar to northern NM. Thank you!

Thanks Kathy. About those two check boxes, I can read the text on my screen if I look closely–the background of the site is dark gray and the text is black so if I look closely I can read it. (Perhaps this is a good test of a monitor’s ability to show shades of gray? 🙂 ) I’ve tried to change the text color before but with no success. Anyway, the first box says “notify me of new comments via email” while the second one says “notify me of new posts via email.” The first one will send you an email when I reply to your comment or anyone else also posts a comment on the post. I’m not really sure about the second one. It seems to imply that WordPress will send you an email notification of any new blog posts. If that’s the case, then it’s a new one on me and perhaps makes my POTD email notifications unnecessary. I really don’t know. These two check boxes are part of the standard comment screen on WordPress, I did not set them up. I suppose I should do a bit more digging into this!
