Homage to the Unknown

I took this shot because the scene reminded me of what I think is a fairly well-known photo by a well-known photographer, but I can’t for the life of me recall who that photographer is. I had thought it might be Edward Eggleston but failed to find any image like this of his.
I remembered there was a photographer who made images of things covered up, especially museum exhibits in transition. A little google sleuthing helped me find Loren Nelson’s “Under Wraps: Buildings in Transition”. Here’s a link to a feature article and he also has a book on Blurb.

Me thinks that the car is probably in better shape than the house.
