The startled look on these three faces was not the intention of the sculptor I don’t think, although I’m at a loss of what thE intention might have been. I believe there was supposed to be water coming out of the three mouth holes, which would create an even stranger interpretation I think.

I got a kick out of all the graffiti scenes in Lisbon that integrated parts of the infrastructure into the composition. The imagination it takes to recognize the potential in such features as this doorbell and the cracked plaster in yesterday’s post is impressive.

POTD: Rare Bird

This was one of the few, maybe only, corvids I saw in Lisbon, and it might have been carved as an eagle or something else I suppose. I’ve seen ravens, crows, and/or magpies or their European corvid cousins in noticeable numbers in all the countries I’ve visited up until now.
